Today we docked at Costa Maya, Mexico. As we left our room for the morning we were greeted by Merlin. He was the sweet man who took care of making sure we had clean rooms each day. When we would come back at the end of the day, he had folded towels into cute animals and left them on the bed or around the room. We even had a towel monkey hanging from our ceiling one evening! He left chocolates on our pillows. He knew all our kid's names, and was always so kind!
For breakfast this morning we ate at the Enchanted Garden restaurant (more on that at dinner). We were really very spoiled with all the gourmet options we had whenever we sat down to eat.
Here Colton is standing on the deck of the ship looking out at the dock of Costa Maya...
Before stepping out into Costa Maya, we decided to solve another mystery using the amazing paintings all over the ship. Here is Colton using his "badge" on the painting. As he moved his badge, the hand on the painting would move too (like the mouse on a computer). Then he could select something in the painting.
Here Mickey is telling him good job for solving the mystery of the missing paintings...
I LOVED the beautiful lobby of our ship!
Kyle spent some time today hanging out in the Oceaneer Lab. That big thing in the middle of the floor is made up of 28 monitors that could be used to play all kinds of games. Colton and Kyle had so much fun on that thing! In the background you can see a whole bunch of computer stations and also a set of big plasma screen TV's for playing video games and watching movies.
This was the art area they created all kinds of projects in...
Kyle loved playing at these gaming stations...

Once off the ship, we wandered around Costa Maya just to look around. There were some tide pools we had fun looking at...
That night we ate at the Enchanted Garden restaurant. This restaurant magically transformed from day to night over the course of our dinner thanks to the lighting in the ceiling. The ceiling went from the brilliant blue of daytime into the golden red of a setting sun- and finally into nighttime constellation of twinkling stars. It was a beautiful setting! The decor was inspired by the gardens of Versailles and reminded you of an elegant conservatory amid peaceful hillsides in France. They served cuisine from around the world.
