I am not big on watching sports...unless I know the players personally. The players I obviously know the best are my children.
And I LOVE watching them play ball!
I love seeing them get better and better. I love watching their excitement when they try so hard to make a basket...and then finally do. I love watching them learn to pass the ball - giving others the chance to take the shot. There's a maturity there that is fun to see them gain.
Kyle sticks out his tongue when he's concentrating. I think it's so cute.
Bryan played with a really great group of boys this year. Not only were they great players, but they were also really great friends. Bryan really enjoyed them a lot!
I have watched Morgan morph into this really competitive basketball player. She's really good! Heaven help the girl who tries to steal the ball from her. She doesn't let go of that ball for anything.
She actually made the shot in this picture below!
Another one of Bryan's games...
Colton is also a competitive little player!
They all had a really great season and had some fabulous coaches. I look forward to the next season!

Colton's a BEAR
Today Colton became a bear.
Just in case you misunderstand...that's a good thing. He's been working at it for quite some time.
I am speaking of course of Cub Scouts. Colton attends cubs once a week and works on all sorts of fun things. He is learning how to be a good citizen, a good family member, and all sorts of fun things like camping, safety, games, BB guns, archery, and many others. So at Pack Meeting this month they honored his achievement...
Mother's always get a pin also - for helping their sons achieve their rank. Colton is pinning it on. As a mom you learn to hold your shirt away from your chest (so you don't get poked). There was a time where Bryan accidentally dropped the backing for the pin and it fell down my shirt...I waited to fish it out until I could do it discretely after I sat down. He was a little embarrassed and was glad I didn't let on what had happened. But that didn't stop me from teasing him about it.
After being presented with his award he was asked to give the audience a great big bear roar....ROARRRR...it was a good one!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Cookies, hearts, candy, love, conversation hearts, suckers, cards = VALENTINE'S DAY! Elementary school has lots of fun holiday parties. The hard part is dividing my time enough to be able to visit each of my children's classrooms. I can't stand to miss out on any of them. I love being a fly on the wall in my children's classrooms - seeing how they interact with their friends and teachers.
Here's Morgan...
with her friend Ella...
and her most favorite teacher ever! Seriously, she was amazing and so much fun!!
Next I went to Kyle's class. He was so proud of his Valentine bag.
...having fun with his friend Kaden.
I still remember looking at conversation hearts stuffed in envelopes from boys I thought were cute - wondering if they hand picked those phrases for me. Valentine's day is so fun!
